Mechanical Engineering

Dr. Manojkumar. V. Dalvi B.E. (Mech.), M.E.(Design Engg.) Ph.D. (Mech. Engg.), NIIT Surat. Head of the Department It’s been pleasure for me to welcome to Department of Mechanical Engineering at BSCOER, Pune. This department has been started in the year of 2010. During this journey of previous five years, we are striving hard to develop our expertise and competence in the core Mechanical Engineering curriculum and research. We have an undergraduate program in Mechanical Engineering with an intake of 120 students. We offer ME (design) at postgraduate level with an intake of 24 students. Our curriculum has a primary focus to impart technical knowhow to students, endorse their problem solving abilities through skills and innovation of new technologies. Department offers the electives given by SPPU for providing wide range of options to the students to practice their interest. This department takes care about the overall development of our students through various activities like Ranker’s Group, Entrepreneurship Development Cell and Competitive Exam Guidance Cell etc. The department has our student association, which had organized the several events like CAD war, Poster presentation, Debate and Quiz competitions at different levels.

‘MESA’ of Mechanical Engineering Department is an organization formed by the students which works for the students. The basic aim of MESA is to enrich students with different qualities to add dimensions to their personality so that every student emerges as multi-functional engineer who is globally recognized. The motto of MESA is to mould one’s personality in such a way that one becomes equally competent in all streams of engineering. In the recent years MESA has been working hard to press the students towards the zenith of developing them in an all round fashion and in years to come, it shall be consistent but with lateral improvements.

The governing body is formed of the students. The president of MESA is the head of the Department,

with a Staff Advisor and Co-Incharge of MESA, while bright and dynamic students are selected for the post of Vice President (from B.E), Secretary (from T.E), and Treasurer (from T.E) by interviewing them. Executive Members (one from each division), and Ladies Representatives (one from each class) are elected by each class.

MESA Executive council 2018-19
President: Dr.M.V.Dalvi (HOD Mech.Engg.)
Vice President: Ankit Patil
Secretary: Shubham shinde
Treasurer: Yogesh Patel
Ladies representative: Sonali Nimbalkar
