The Department of Engineering Sciences is working as a supporting department to all the Engineering Departments. Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences are mathematically rich subjects and they also possess extensive range of applications in many other fields such as: Physics, Chemistry, Engineering and Industry, Medical Sciences, Ecology, Management, Economics and Finance, Military Applications, and many others.
To develop competent engineers who can apply basic knowledge of engineering and science to serve the society.
To instill the importance of Basic Science and develop natural talent for Engineering and Technology which in turn shall mould the student into a com petent professional.
The Electronics labs are used by the students of Electronics labs to design and experiment with electronic circuit programs. In Electronics lab, theoretical concepts of basic electronics presented in a laboratory environment and through practical hands-on experiments. Basic devices like CRO's, Signal generator, Power Supply, Digital Trainer, Function generator are present. Different kits like digital trainer, regulated power supply, CE amplifier, IC 555 are present to get hands-on experience on the electronics concepts. With an intention to provide in-depth knowledge in a specific area, projects works are assigned to the students. Senior faculty of electronics engineering will always be present in guiding the students in electronics labs and also in their research and presentations
The Chemistry lab is well equipped having area of 69.73 sq. m. The Engineering Chemistry Lab has a wide range of equipment. It provides students with a practical approach towards the various techniques used in engineering application. The students perform experiments such as volumetric analysis manually as well as using pH metry, conductivity meter and potentiometer. Analysis of water sample is carried out to determine hardness, alkalinity, chlorides etc. students perform coal analysis and determine the molecular weight of a polymer using viscometric method. Students also perform different chromatographic techniques. The students handle colorimeter which is used in determining the concentration of analyte.
The Physics lab is well equipped having area of 69.73 sq. m. including 23.42 sq. m's dark room. At present the lab can cater to all the needs of the first year learners of all the B.E. courses as well as facilitates demonstration experiments for teachers. Experiments have been designed according to the syllabus with an aim to induct learning and strengthening the foundations. The capacity of the lab at present is 20 learners at a time. Students experiment in a group of three to learn team work and help each other for the same
The Self Learning Lab is well equipped having area of 150.74 sq.m area including three compartments with Air Conditioning.Learning Labs is an online assistive technology learning platform designed to work alongside and complement one to one training for First year Engineering Students. The tutorials given to the students support a range of learning styles, allowing students to learn by doing, reading or watching. Learning labs provide a valuable ,easy acess resource for students to develop their skills in the use of assistive technology and to refresh their knowledge during their studies.

‘FESA’ of First Year Engineering Science Department is an organization formed by the students which works for the students. The basic aim of FESA is to enrich students with different qualities to add dimensions to their personality so that every student emerges as multi-functional engineer who is globally recognized. The motto of FESA is to mould one’s personality in such a way that one becomes equally competent in all streams of engineering. In the recent years FESA has been working hard to press the students towards the zenith of developing them in an all round fashion and in years to come, it shall be consistent but with lateral improvements.
