Computer Engineering

Computer Engineering Department is one of the most dynamic departments. Main goal of this department is to provide students best education as well as improve skills and leadership qualities though best teaching learning methods.Computer department is having highly qualified, dynamic and experienced faculty. It has well equipped ultra modern laboratories with latest configuration machines& licensed software. It provides exposure to current technologies such as Hadoop,Big Data, Cloud & special hands-on Open Source Software’s through Workshops & Seminars.
It also provides exposure through professional body such as CSI (ComputerSociety of India Student Branch) for students. It conducts extracurricular activities such as Aptitude Test, Communication Skill sessions to prepare for training & placement. Most of the faculties are pursuing their Ph. Dfrom different universities. Staff members have published technical papers in various national and international conferences/ journals and also attended workshops to improve technical expertise.

  • PEO1. To prepare globally competent graduates having strong fundamentals, domain knowledge, updated with modern technology to provide the effective solutions for engineering problems. PEO2. To prepare the graduates to work as a committed professional with strong professional ethics and values, sense of responsibilities, understanding of legal, safety, health, societal, cultural and environmental issues.
  • PEO3. To prepare committed and motivated graduates with research attitude, lifelong learning, investigative approach, and multidisciplinary thinking.
  • PEO4. To prepare the graduates with strong managerial and communication skills to work effectively as individual as well as in teams.

  • PSO1: Professional Skills-The ability to understand, analyze and develop computer programs in the areas related to algorithms, system software, multimedia, web design, big data analytics, and networking for efficient design of computer-based systems of varying.
  • PSO2: Problem-Solving Skills- The ability to apply standard practices and strategies in software project development using open-ended programming environments to deliver a quality product for business success.
  • PSO3: Successful Career and Entrepreneurship- The ability to employ modern computer languages, environments, and platforms in creating innovative career paths to be an entrepreneur, and a zest for higher studies.

  • PO1. To apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, problem solving skills, algorithmic analysis and mathematical modeling to the solution of complex engineering problems.

Computer Network Laboratory

Computer Network Laboratory is facilitated with HCL Intel Dual core 2.7 GHz Computers having 500 GB Hard disk, 4 GB RAM. Laboratory is also having advanced network devices like Wireless Interfacing Card, Netgear Wireless Router, Access Point etc. Laboratory is installed with software like Wireshark, Packet Tracer, Nmap, Metaspolit, NetBeans, JDK, XAMPP etc. Armor antivirus Pvt. Ltd. Has sponsored License Security Software tools to the laboratory for Security Skill Development of Student. Computer Network Laboratory is utilized for SPPU Curriculum Implementation of Computer Network and Web Technology Course. Student Club BSCOER Cyber Cell is also utilizing this laboratory for various activates.

Database Laboratory

Database lab Laboratory is facilitated with HCL Intel Dual core 2 GHz Computers having 500 GB Hard disk, 2 GB RAM. Laboratory is installed with software like SQL, PL/SQL, Java, PHP, Python, Monod, MYSQL, and Oracle. Database lab Laboratory is utilized for experiments to be performed under subject DBMS for semester-I and Machine Learning for semester-II of SPPU curriculum. To make student aware about different RedHat certification, college signed MOU with Red-Hat. So lab is as referred as “BSCOER RedHat Academy”

Digital Electronics and Microprocessor Lab

Digital electronics and Microprocessor Lab is facilitated with HCL Intel Pentium 2.70 GHz Computers having 500 GB Hard disk, 2 GB RAM. This lab is equipped with electronics components and software that are necessary for students for their labs. 8086 Microprocessor kits are available in the lab to demonstrate internal working of microprocessor. Basics of Microprocessor are depicted through different charts and diagrams in the lab so that student can understand basic concepts easily. Second year Microprocessor practical is being conducted by faculty members in this lab. For their labs NASM assembler along with 64 bit Linux Operating system is installed on the systems. Students perform their assignments with this assembler.

Internet of Things Laboratory

Internet of Things Laboratory is facilitated with Acer AMD A-10-7800 Radeon R7, 12 Computer Cores. Computers having 1TB Hard disk, 4 GB RAM. Laboratory is also equipped with different hardware components Rasberrypi pi 3 Development board, Beagle bone black, Arduino ,Smart Home Automated Systems Module, Sensor interfacing board, Servo Motor , PI Camera ,Bluetooth HC- 05 , Wemos D1 Mini , Web cam, Relays 8 channel , Relays 2 Channel , SMPS 30 . Different types of sensors are also available like PIR Motion detector, IR sensor, Light Detection Sensor, Temperature Sensor, Soil Moisture sensor, Water flow sensor, smoke detector sensor, ultrasonic sensor, sound detector sensor. Different crimping tools are cable cutter, cable stripper, wire crimper, wire stripper etc. Laboratory is installed with software like NetBeans, JDK, python 3.7 etc. Laboratory consist of different types of microcontrollers, crimping tools for skill development of students. Students can develop project based on automation Robotics, Machine Learning Internet of Things laboratory is utilized for SPPU Curriculum Implementation of Embedded System and Internet of Things and Digital Electronics and Logic Design Course.
